Guruji

Founder & Head Instructor

With over three decades of dedication to the sitar and the rich Hindustani classical tradition, our Guruji brings the depth of the guru-shishya parampara to the Bay Area. Trained under the legendary masters of the Maihar gharana, his journey spans intimate gurukul sessions in India to concert stages across the world.

His approach blends the rigor of traditional talim with modern pedagogical insight, ensuring each student — whether a complete beginner or an advancing performer — receives personalized guidance rooted in centuries of musical wisdom.

Beyond performance, Guruji is committed to preserving and transmitting the living heritage of Indian classical music. Every lesson at Path of Raga is a link in an unbroken chain of knowledge that stretches back through generations of master musicians.
